Should we kill the Jews, Mr Karat?

Wipe Israel off the face of the earth, that's the call given by Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, the man heading Iran. Simple. Imam said so, he says.

He is a Head of a State that promises to handle its fledgling nuclear power responsibly. Waah.

And the Leftists here in India want India to back Iran as it defies the world community. Indian Communists want Iran to arm itself with warheads because both Iran and our Leftists hate America.

Hating America is fine... but a bomb in the hands of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad? Don't know about Israel but he might wipe his own country off the map. A nuke ain't a cracker, you crackhead.

I haven't yet heard a reaction from the Commies.

You sound more like a right-winger. (Eg: The BJP)
So you, like Uncle S(h)am, don't want Iran to have its own nukes. Why not? Just because it is an Islamic country? Or well, yeah, let's bring the Leftist view in the picture.
But there is a bigger picture to all this.
To start with India's foreign policy is flawed. It is a supporter of the Palestinian cause officially and wants UAVs and other defense stuff from Israel.
India wants to build its civilian nuke reactors and also wants gas from Iran. Smelly!
Which end of the rope, does India want to be? Take a damn stand.
Getting back to Iran, so if Iran doesn't have a nuke it will be easier for Dubya to bomb it, right?
India's doesn't have the balls the bomb/attack Pakistan with conventional weapons, after the Pak nuclear tests.
And there has been peace between the two countries, minus Kargil.
The FEAR of nuclear war is keeping the peace, mind you. That threshold is being respected by ALL -- terrorists and nations alike.
Else it would be like the US bombing Afghanistan and Iraq.
The reason the US can't use force on Iran and North Korea is due to Iran being a huge Muslim nation and N Korea has a pact with China.
Yes, add a flavour of Communism too.
The US also has strained ties across the Atlantic (ocean) and Israel is warming up to Europe.
Oh! yes, also sprinkle in a bit of the China factor.
I hope you have heard the word called 'Geopolitics'.
Iran wants nuclear know-how for civilian uses and well, also to make bombs. So what is wrong in that.
Why can't the US pressure Pakistan into giving up its nuke capability and add to that AQ Khan's selling of N-Tech to rogue nations?
Iran wants N-bombs as a defence against the Yankees.
Why can't the US give up its own nuclear arsenal and also sign the NPT?
Yes, yes, I know the US is going to cut down on its N-arsenal in the next few years.
But it will maintain a stockpile of 500 warheads as a deterrant.
And those 500 are going to be even more deadlier.
Read up some defense technology website.
As for Karat, well that is another case of not using their brain and going by emotions and living in the past.
So take a stand as a nation, and stop looking at incidents and people from just one angle only.
Got it?

I don't know about the BJP but if I sound like a right winger I am okay with it.
Have read enough geopolitics and defence tech sites, I know the facts that you have stated. And I don't like S(h)am as much as I don't like Ahmednijaad or India's unprincipled Left.
And I don't like the prospect of Iran having nukes. That India and Pakistan possess nukes is headache enough. And I do think India is more responsible than Iran. Iran is a country in turmoil. And they hate a country's existence.
About Palestine the less said better. We accorded that gun-toting Arafat the place of a statesman, so did the UN and everybody else. But that doesn't make it right.
I want Palestinians to have their own country but that doesn't mean end of Israel. Iran and a lot of other countries officially pursue the latter.
Iran doesn't support us on Kashmir, why because it's a religious cause for it the way Palestine is. The country is controlled by narrow-headed bigots and until the Iranian people take the matters in their own hands, a bomb is not an ideal thing in Teheran's hands. Simple. We can't have another Pakistan around the corner. We know it's difficult to disarm an armed country. So the world should do everything to stop Iran from arming.
I don't look at things from every angle. This is my personal blog. And it carries my angle for what it is worth.
Thanks
